Fat Tuesday. Film “Fat Tuesday”, shot with Lomography cameras, is an illustration of three carnivals taking place in different parts of Serbia. The film is trying to find balance between established ritual dynamics and random whimsies of those taking part in it, all the while raising questions about our relation to culture, tradition, nature, and society.

Moje ostrvo, red. Stefana Savić (Serbia, 2022, 4’)

My Island. A female character (the author herself) walks through the water towards a nearby island. Although close, the island as a metaphor for personal space and freedom, becomes more and more distant, and her course, interspersed with editing procedures, becomes longer and longer. Under the pressure of obstacles and limitations, the field of her personality imagination opens, and everything becomes possible.

Night for a lost one, red. Nenad Obrad Nedeljkov (Serbia, 2023, 4’)

Night for a lost one. A video diptych, a part of the “Bounds” cycle. The audiovisual presentation follows the bird to its final and undefined outcome.

Tipsy, red. Rolland Miskolci (Serbia, 2022, 6’)

Tipsy. An animated – graphic novel, reflecting on the tragedy and the comedy of life, through the eyes of people who are present in this cavalcade. Our hero is a cab driver called Clément. Narrated by the legendary actor, Robert Koltai.

Filmski dnevnici, red. Milica Jovčić, Nenad Ćosić (Serbia, 2022, 20’)

Based on 9.5mm found footage filmed by Belgrade cine amateur between the two world wars, this film looks into the private family archive as a reflection of Yugoslav history. Following the life of the family in the country that was rebuilt and disappeared again, it confirms the words of Claude Simon that “although it repeats itself – history should be repeated by every individual in his generation”.
